Divulging Secrets

Art Work: Jay Aheer, Simply Defined Art
Keywords: Romance, Contemporary, Suspense
Candace Lake's testimony against her father landed her in the Witness Protection program. With a new identity comes a new beginning, one based on lies and loneliness. How can she find someone to share her future with when a relationship without trust at its foundation won’t stand the storms of life?

Tom Berkley didn’t expect his new tenant to make him question his solitary lifestyle in the backwoods of Maine. He also didn’t expect to be caught up in the secrets of her past that bring his own tragic ones to the forefront of his mind.
The sizzling chemistry between them can’t be ignored, but when the threats from Candace's turbulent past catch up with her, can she trust Tom enough to protect her from the price on her head?
I followed the two marshals carrying the four suitcases I’d been allowed to pack. Nothing personal, no documents. No electronics. I had been forced to leave behind Butter, my old tabby that I had gotten for my tenth birthday. The locket my late mother had inscribed with my name and gifted to me on my sweet sixteenth birthday still lay inside its velvet box, left with one final longing, loving gaze, same as I’d done with her in a satin-lined coffin five years earlier. Boston’s spring air chilled me through as we stepped outside, and I gladly climbed into the dark-windowed sedan, wrapped my sweater tight around me, and allowed myself one last look at the condo Papa had bought for me. Papa. My throat thickened, and welling tears blurred my vision. I had unknowingly helped him smuggle millions of dollars’ worth of stolen gems and jewelry to and from overseas. I had knowingly helped put him behind bars in return for leniency in my own sentencing. But freedom had cost me my life. Everyone and everything I had known for twenty-five years lay in my past, and a new beginning loomed before me. Where, I had no clue—and I couldn’t bring myself to care. My luxurious condo … gone. My group of friends … gone. The gym I’d been going to for yoga classes since moving to Boston for college … gone. The diploma I had received from Harvard Law School with Lila Scorzoni written on it would never hang on my wall. I followed the marshals aboard a small, private jet inside a hangar at Boston’s Logan. Settling onto one of the seats, I tipped my head back and shut my eyes. The knot in my stomach had twisted months earlier when my lawyer suggested testifying against Papa to save my own ass. The nauseating twist had yet to relent, but at least I’d lost those damn freshman twenty I’d picked up over the years spent in college. The only good thing to come from the fucked-up situation that was my life. I heaved a sigh and turned my head, opening my eyes as the plane sped down the runway. We lifted into the air, leaving my home behind. Forever. Drawing easy breaths had proven difficult since finding out Papa wasn’t the successful business man—honest one—I’d always thought. His communications business at the office building downtown worked as a front for his shady dealings. The board of six who had helped to oversee said company, nothing more than a band of thieves. Witness protection. My mind chewed on the two words, but I wondered how protected I would be. Four of Papa’s associates were in the slammer, thanks to me, and two who had last been seen overseas—one in Rome, the other in Paris—still wandered free. Two men with the connections and motive to do away with me. Money at their disposal and without doubt, thugs or hitmen on their payroll. Where could the WITSEC plant me that would be safe from such men? Nowhere, I feared.
Lynn Burke is a full time mother, voracious gardener, and scribbler of spicy romance stories. A country bumpkin turned Bay Stater, she enjoys her chowdah and Dunkin Donuts when not trying to escape the reality of city life.

BULL'S EYE Book Blast *Share Me 2* by Evelyn Vox #MMF #BDSM @GoddessFish @evoxwrites

Share Me, Book 2: Bull's Eye
by Evelyn Vox

GENRE: Erotic Romance

I made a deal with the devil. A devil named Derek Drake. He makes my husband watch as he uses me to satisfy his carnal desires. I love it, and that terrifies me. Because this bargain only works if they are willing to share me. I don't know what I'll do when they decide they've had enough of our deal. I'm not sure I can choose between them.

Brian loves watching me pleasure his wife in ways he never could. But the beast inside me is tired of sharing my Goddess. I am the one who ignited the dark fire within her. I am the one she answers to. Alexandra is mine. I don't see much use for the cuck anymore.

Bull's Eye is a steamy, kinky MMF romance about a cuckold relationship gone awry. When the line between lust and love blurs, when the two men sharing her both lay their claim, Lexie will have to make the choice of her life: Derek or Brian. WARNING: this story is not for the faint of heart. It is a twisted tale of self-discovery about finding light in the darkest corners of the heart. It has hard BDSM and an open marriage where the boundaries are pushed to the breaking point. Read at your own risk.

The beast purred in predatory delight. Slamming the door behind me, I advanced, ready to pounce. She had the audacity to grin at me. It seemed this long-distance relationship had made her forget her lessons.

Sea-green eyes that I could drown in consumed me. I caged her in my arms, looming down, trying to be menacing. But damn, Alexandra, she was here. In the flesh, at last. I leaned in closer, inhaling her delicious scent like vanilla, the one I’d missed every day. I held her chin and devoured her mouth.

She was so sweet, her lips so perfect, that tongue divine as it danced with mine. I took my time drinking her in, but it wasn’t enough. I needed more. I took her fingers just to hold her hand to my cheek. I closed my eyes and seared this moment in my memory forever. I needed this. I needed her. All of her.

Alexandra’s forehead bumped against mine. My chest tightened, the sensation as overwhelming as the painful throbbing between my legs. The beast raked its claws in impatience, pulling me out of the stupor of our reunion. I pushed her back against the wall.

“You’ve been a very bad girl, ” I breathed, staring into those gorgeous eyes. The fear, the desire that filled them, was enough to make me drunk on her. “And what happens to bad, disobedient, little brats?”

“We get punished,” she whispered.

“Exactly,” I said, unable to stop the grin from splitting my face.

This was going to be so much fun.

Jared huddled under the covers until the smell of coffee drew him out of bed. First stop, the bathroom. He glanced in the mirror, and did a double take. What the fuck! Gripping the small sink, he leaned in for a closer look. Teeth marks.

Suddenly, a naked Ray appeared behind him, and strong muscular arms circled Jared. “Do you want coffee or a blowjob?” Ray stroked Jared’s flaccid penis back to life.

Jared melted back against him. “I want to get fucked.” Then he remembered. “You bit me.”

Ray inspected his handiwork. “So? You know you like it rough. You were so fucking hot, you didn’t even feel it.”

“You broke the skin.”

“Don’t be a wuss. I had my rabies shot.”

“Very funny.”

Ray kissed the mark. “It’s a love bite. Means you’re mine. Forever.”

Jared sighed. “I don’t need a mark to remind me. I love you.”

“Love you, too. Come back to bed and I’ll prove it.”

Happy Reading!
