#Friday Happy Author Hour! Share a drink with your favorite #Authors! #HappyHour #writing Today with Raven McAllan @RavenMcAllan

Whether you're an author or not, you've heard it before: All authors drink.

But what do they drink?

You don't like Gin & Tonic? That's because you haven't tried Raven McAllan's special recipe. Have a look and enjoy!
Such a boring favorite drink, but NOT the way I make it
Tonic used to contain quinine, which was helps to stave off Malaria. Lime juice helped to ward off malaria, and gin is well… just gin. N i c e …
Drank in the sunshine, preferably by a beach or river,  watching the world go by, what better way to celebrate living?

Raven’s perfect gin and tonic

I part Caorunn Gin (It’s Scottish)

3 parts fever tree tonic

I slice lime.

Ice

Lime for squeezing

Swizzel stick

mint leaf

Method

Put  3-4 large ice cubes in a tall glass

Add gin and slice of lime

Add tonic

Squeeze lime juice into glass and stir with swizzle stick

Add more ice if required.

Garnish with mint

Ask a hot bod to serve it to you.

About Raven:

Well what can I say?

I'm growing old disgracefully and loving it.

Dh and I live on the edge of a Scottish forest, and rattle around in a house much too big for us.
Our kids have grown up and flown the nest, but roll back up when they want to take a deep breath and smell the daisies so to speak.

I write in my study, which overlooks the garden and the lane. I'm often seen procrastinating, by checking out the wild life, looking—only looking—at the ironing basket and assuring tourists that indeed, I'm not the bed and breakfast. That would mean cooking fried eggs without breaking the yolks, and disturbing the dust bunnies as they procreate under the beds. Not to be thought of.
Being able to do what I love, and knowing people get pleasure from my writing is fantastic. Long may it last.
